Recognizing individuals who have greatly enhanced
the Grand Strand's Technology Business

This is the nomination form for the 2013 Grand Strand Technology Awards. To complete the nomination form, you will need to enter information about yourself, and your nominee. You will choose the category (or categories), and then submit up to 500 words (per category) supporting your candidate's leadership and innovation contributions to the Grand Strand. You may also upload a resume and/or biography of the nominee (limit to one page each please). Judges will base decisions primarily on the information submitted in this nomination, but may also use additional knowledge as available.

Tips from the Judges

All award entries will be evaluated in the following areas:

Description: Describe the application, product or service. Define what the objectives were for this problem or opportunity. Clarity is critical.

Innovation: Explain how the result was new, or unique, or deployed in the original solution. Indicate if this was for a business unit, community, education or charitable implementation.

Complexity/Difficulty: The degree of difficulty in the use of technology is an important criterion. Try to include items:

  • Type of technology utilized
  • The community impacted by the nominee
  • The types of promotion and peer recognition
  • Any extraordinary circumstances which may have been encountered
